Abstract

The Human Development Index in Indonesia is quite a complex problem. The development of human development in East Java continues to increase. This can be seen from the consistent increase in HDI figures during the 2018-2022 period. This research aims to examine the influence of Poverty, Unemployment, Health and Economic Growth on the Human Development Index of East Java Province. The research method that researchers use in this research is a quantitative approach with an associative type, using secondary data types that have been officially published by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), with Panel Data Regression Analysis as the analysis tool. The results of the research state that the variables Poverty, Unemployment, Health and Economic Growth simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the Human Development Index of East Java Province. Meanwhile, partially the Poverty variable has no significant effect on the Human Development Index for East Java Province. The variables Unemployment, Health and Economic Growth have a significant positive effect on the Human Development Index for East Java Province.
